Terry Ross is a multi talented photographer based in Surry Hills Sydney.
After a successful career as cameraman for a leading Sydney television network, Terry expanded his visual imagery portfolio
by creating RossPhoto.
Terry's photographic history goes back to the early 1980's when he was a young man
photographing his mates surfing. As luck would have it, one of those mates was to become
surfings Junior World Champion and the pioneer of the now infamous 'floater'
manoeuvre. Terry can proudly claim to have the first ever image of this manoeuvre published
which helped to take surfing to a new level.
The early 1990's brought on a move to Sydney and incorporation of photography with television
with Terry training to become a cameraman with Channel 9 news. After an
exciting decade of covering news, Terry returned to photography where his combination of visual skills
is applied to every image he takes.
Terry has a natural connection with people both in and out of the studio and this is evident in
the images he takes. his approach is very relaxed with attention to the comfort of the client.
Headshots and portfolios / comp cards of casting / modelling agencies are specialty for
Terry, however the wide variety of client needs are always taken head on.
